Je sui une legionnaire

OK, my French still sucks. But I just wanted to quickly update my blog. I am in my 2nd month of basic training in the French Foreign Legion, and all is well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, and please leave some comments or email me so I know there's another world outside of here.

Beaucoup love from Castelnaudary, France.

The Frenchmen must be pretty cool. :) We missed you in Dallas this year, but I'm sure your having tons of fun, if not experiencing some crazy stuff halfway around the world. As they say in Texas, "Grab the bull by the horns"...don't know how the Frenchies would explain the same analogy. Anyway, have fun!

About one year to the day I presented myself at Aubagne...
After I was sent home I went home briefly to regroup, reassess my goals. I was devastated at not making selection, but couldn't fathom defeat. I went right off to Korea to teach, something I had never done before. An adventure of another kind.
I was dealing with Kindergarten kids while you were in Castel. haha

great story...I am enjoying reading back over your blog...
